Mixing for tv, cinema & online

Sound mixing

Today, it is important to keep track for the audio specifications for each individual streaming platform (loudness mastering). Or else you will risk that your content sounds bad, distorted or missing in intelligibility.

I will help you to get the final masters safe in loudness before distributing them out in the digital world.

My personal goal for every project is to excel in balancing audio so that it enhances the work's storytelling without distracting from it. When I’m recording, mixing or mastering, I have only one goal in mind, I want people to look at me, thunderstruck, and say – “This sounds incredible"

Sound design & foley

Sound design & foley

When co-working with clients I often get a written soundbrief or a url-link to a specific online movie. The brief could be based on a feeling or thoughts that the client wants to excel with sound design along the storyline.

Making timebased markers inside my DAW is my go to start in a new project. At the same time I thinking which scenes need to have foley sounds and which sounds I already have in my going continues growing sound libraries. If I don't find what I am looking for, I start recording my own sounds in the studio or in real environments.

Sometimes you need unnatural audio, audio that you cannot be captured from real life. Then you have to design your own sounds with samplers and synthesizers.

Music composition

Music composition

Music is arguably the most powerful way of communicating emotions. Music can tell stories, stir emotions and conjure visions, all at the same time.

The vast majority of the music I make is music underscore, not the ‘jingle’ style melodic hooks with product-based lyrics you would traditionally think of with ad music. I write with a mixture of MIDI, samples and recorded instruments.

Production sound

Production sound

I have both the equipment and the knowledge to act as sound recordist/boom operator or production engineer on set or on location.

Do you want to do a separate sound recording along with a multi camera set-up? Syncronising with time code units is a great possibility to reduce time in post.

I have different mobile set-ups with field recorders and lavaliers, plant, head or boom mics. What ever suites the situation.

Wanna send a stereo submix to the camera and the clients headphones, and another listening mix to the director?

Just call or send me an email and I will help you sort it all out:)

VO, podcasts & ADR

VO, podcasts & ADR

You have a script, I have a talent or maybe you already have casted a speaker that you want to use. Its not a problem at all. You or talent can read in sync with a separate display or, you can read your script in non-sync, take by take. I have space & gear for podcastrecording, up to persons/voices simultaneously.

If you want to record a podcast on location I have mobile podcast rig that you can hire with, or without me as a recording engineer

Other services

Immersive Audio (rec/mix)

I can help you If you want to do a Immersive recording with high-end ambisonic microphones. Or why not a ASMR-recording with a binaural head microphone.

On the field or in the studio. If you will need another format later on we could convert the ambisonics recording to trad. stereo, binaural stereo, 5.1, 7.1 or preferable atmos-format.

Audio identity & strategy

The potential of sound is often not fully utilized to support brands, and i want to change that. After all, the right audio brand helps to build the necessary associations within the consumers’ minds and strengthens their connection with the product or company. It will become what makes a person instantly recognize your brand, even if he or she has not yet seen it.

Great design starts with a purpose and insight into why, how, where and when your brand or product should use music and sound.
